About Us
In the 1950’s, well drilling was done with cable tool drilling using chisel point bits. These wells were 6 inches in diameter and all steel casing was used. When the 1960’s came around, air drilling as we know it today, was the new wave. RJ was the first driller in Alexander County to purchase an air drill. RJ’s son, Donald started working with his dad when he was just 16 years old.
Methods of finding water are the same today as they were years ago. These methods include using the peach tree limb also known as dowsing or water witching.
Today, using the latest modern equipment, Donald and his son, Bradley carry on the family tradition of well drilling at Taylorsville Well Drilling, Inc. As times change and well drilling changes, father and son continue to keep up with new technology and equipment. Today’s wells could go as deep as 1300 feet but the average well is still around 200 feet but now can be completed in 1-2 days. Donald and Bradley are both licensed certified well drillers and stay in compliance with all of the state C2 rules and regulations. Taylorsville Well Drilling, Inc. takes pride in their work and satisfaction is guaranteed.
